Mobile Equipment Mechanic

Mechanical Maintenance | Baesa Plant

Mobile Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the repair and maintenance of various mobile equipment of the plant and ensures that all units are safe to operate, reliable and available at all times.


  • Prepares periodic maintenance schedules of all mobile equipment such as, change oil, change filters of engine, transmission, and hydraulics system and re-greasing of all grease lubricated parts according to operating and maintenance manual of every unit.
  • Coordinates with Technical Services Department (TSD) and Shipping supervisors to pull out mobile equipment units due for periodic maintenance services.
  • Receives Daily Equipment Pre-operation Check Up form filled up by Mobile Operators and check the compliance of the checklist before and after operation of the units.
  • Repair abnormalities of the units as indicated by the mobile operators in the Daily Equipment Pre-operation Check Up form.
  • Recondition all re-usable spare parts and coordinates with Mechanical Maintenance Department (MMD) Planner for the purchase new spare parts.
  • Reports to MMD team leader any major repair or overhauling needed for the unit.
  • Checks and test run units repaired by the contractor before acceptance.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and conditions of all hand tools and equipment needed for the repair
  • Observes good housekeeping at motor pool area
  • Performs other duties that be assigned


Educational Attainment: 

  • Vocational Course graduate or 2nd year College Level in any technical course

Skills and Competency Requirements: 

  • Ability to perform engine overhauling and trouble shooting of various mobile equipment
  • Basic knowledge in welding and lathe machine operation


  • Minimum of 1 year experience as Mobile Equipment Mechanic
